It's just been a lack of disclipline that's kept me from updating the website. I spend a lot of fime interacting with our clients on social media, but I know a lot of you use the site to try to keep up to date, and I apologize for not keeping up with things.

Here are woods we currently are taking custom orders for. See price list for pricing. Due to the many, many variables involved with custom cutting wood, I do not have very many items in the web store, so if you want to order something, shoot me an email for now at twotreeboyz@yahoo.com or give me a phone call at 678.887.0896 (afternoons on weekdays or anytime Saturday). I invoice though Paypal or Square, or I can enter a credit card manually through Square.

#1 - Bradford pear: logs up to 18" diameter, straight, clear grain, slightly off center pith on most pieces. Can cut up to 12" blanks or some hollow forms (typical size is 7.5x8.5x11=ish, looks like I can clear around 8" around the pith)

#2 - Black walnut: sorry I can't remember the diameter of these logs, please inquire, but I think they are at least 12", some larger

#3- Eastern red cedar: 18" logs just came in tonight!!

#4- Paulownia (Princess tree) - logs about 12" in diameter, can only about 5 more pieces as some are spoken for

#5 - Curly silver maple - best for 6-8" blanks

#6 - Possibly holly - We cut a very large tree a few months ago, and I believe it is actually still mostly white. I will verify on Saturay. Also have a few clear pieces from a 7-8" tree that came in a day or two ago.

ASSORTMENTS: I am pushing the assortments this month as we are going to be donating $5 from each assortment to Beads of Courage's Great Bead Challenge. The assortments contain (4) 6X4-5" rounds in 4 different species of my choice. They are a great way to try our products and can be purchased thru the webstore link on the left of this page.

GIFT CERTIFICATES: We sell gift certificates in any amount, and a $45 minimum purchase will also reap a $5 donation to Beads of Courage. they are also availabe in the web store and you can choose mulitiples to get to your desired amount. Please indicate when you buy where those should be shipped, for example you are buying for your spouse and want the shipped to you. :)

(Pictures of current woods available upon request until I post them up)

Available Woods 7/13

I still have quite a few of the blocks available from the BLACK CHERRY BURL we purchased a few weeks ago. They are all sealed with Anchorseal. I have a few posts on Facebook with pictures of individual pieces and can send out pictures as well. I will bring pieces with me to AWG on 7/20.

MIMOSA - We cut a 14" & 20" diameter mimosa about 2 weeks ago. My local clients have gotten most of the larger diameter pieces, but I do have a fair amount of small-medium diameter pieces left. I will be bringing mimosa blanks to AWG on 7/20. Thanks, Joe Paul (VA) for the finished piece picture.

I have some OVERSIZED ITEMS that are for sale locally. I will bring these and processed rounds to AWG on 7/20.

We also can process SOUTHERN MAGNOLIA and limited sizes of BRADFORD PEAR at this time. The tree service cuts trees almost every day so if you are looking for something special, please let me know. If I can't get it, I will try to help you find it. We have a growing number of wood-selling associates.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Posted on March 10, 2016 at 8:05 AM Comments comments (0)

We are working hard to bring lots of great wood to the AAW 30th Anniversary Symposium here in Atlanta June 9-12. It's a huge undertaking filled with brand new challenges, but I'm excited to bring our wood to the masses. We are planning to stock our best sellers Ambrosia maple, Flaming Box Elder, and Bradford pear along with our beautiful ornamentals. We will be selling bowl blanks in the 8-14" range, including lots of crotch figure blanks, hollow form and spindle blanks, along with some oversize pieces for those of you with the giant lathes. We will also be stocking some of our 6" assortments and boxes designed for the beginning turner who doesn't want to spend money on high-end wood.

Once the symposium is over, I will be revamping my emailing and will start sending out bi-monthly updates of what we have available for shipping. We have had to cut back almost entirely on our online sales as we finish prepping for the symposium, but we'll get right back into the swing of things as soon as possible!

We look  forward to being a vendor at the brand new Mid-Atlantic Woodturning Symposium in Lancaster, PA, in September.
